SmartRevIQ vs PROS (Conga)
How SmartRevIQ compares to PROS — now part of Conga — across pricing, quoting and gross-to-net, and what the change of ownership means for a platform decision.
← All comparisonsWhat PROS is good at
PROS built its reputation on AI-driven pricing science, originally in airline revenue management and later across B2B price optimization, CPQ and rebate management. It is strong on dynamic price guidance at high transaction volumes and has a mature partner ecosystem. Its B2B business now sits inside Conga, alongside Conga’s CPQ, contract lifecycle management and document automation.
Where the two overlap
AI-driven price guidance and optimization
CPQ quoting for large sales organisations
Rebate and incentive programme management
Margin analytics on quoted vs. realized price
Where SmartRevIQ differs
One owner, one roadmap
Thoma Bravo took PROS Holdings private for approximately $1.4bn, kept the travel business as a separate investment, and sold the B2B business to Conga — completed 2 February 2026. The B2B pricing products have changed hands twice in under six months and are now being folded into Conga’s contract and document stack, with two overlapping CPQ lines to reconcile. SmartRevIQ is independently owned with one product line and one roadmap.
Gross-to-net, including pharma chargebacks
SmartRevIQ validates chargeback claims against the current contract price and eligibility before they pay — 340B, GPO and IDN — alongside rebates and promotions in the same waterfall, rather than as a separate specialism.
Detection, not just guidance
Price guidance tells the seller what to quote. SmartRevIQ’s 40+ always-on agents check what was actually realized after off-invoice spend lands, and surface the gap while it is still recoverable.
Explainable agents, not a black box
Every recommendation exposes its drivers — willingness-to-pay, elasticity, corridor position — with a per-agent autonomy setting and human-in-the-loop approval before anything posts back to the ERP.
Quote win/loss, priced in margin
PROS is strong at guiding the quote. SmartRevIQ closes the loop after it — every quote is tracked to won or lost, with the margin actually realized on the wins and the price gap that cost you the losses, so guidance is tuned against outcomes rather than assumptions.
Where the difference shows, capability by capability
Pricing & Optimization
Guidance and realized margin in one view — you see the price you set and the margin it actually earns, not two disconnected numbers.
Rebates
Accrual matched to actual per program, per customer — the gap that offsetting errors hide when you only reconcile in aggregate.
Chargebacks
Every claim checked against the current contract price and eligibility before it pays — overpayments stopped and unclaimed recoveries surfaced, both directions.
Where PROS (Conga) may be the better choice
An honest read
If you are already standardised on Conga for CPQ, contract lifecycle management and document automation, the combined stack gives you quote-to-contract in one vendor relationship, and PROS’ pricing science is deep and long-proven at high transaction volume. SmartRevIQ is the stronger fit when rebates, chargebacks and gross-to-net matter as much as list price, and when you would rather not absorb a post-merger roadmap.
